Alpacas!
The best thing ever happened this month. A long time dream of mine has been fulfilled. You might be thinking, "Did you win the lottery? Are you going on an exotic trip? Did Glenn give you a big diamond?" Even better. We are officially the co-owners of three alpaca males!
Welcome to the BB farm, Rembrandt, Pablo, and Michelangelo.

The Pasture
The latest property project has been building a pasture for the new goats and alpacas. I'm glad I have the "pregnancy excuse" and have not had to help digging holes. The plan is to have the fence built by the middle of March and to move the alpacas in by the end of the month.
Eggs...Lots of Eggs.
The increasing sunlight has increased egg production. We are getting 15-20 eggs daily! This is a picture of Bea, who has been broody for the past couple of weeks. She gets so irritated everyday when we steal her stash of eggs.
Hikes
We are still hiking every weekend. Last weekend Oliver dragged me out to the "golden pond" for some rock fishing.
In this photo Oliver is attempting to have "quiet time" to appreciate the sounds of nature. Quiet time usually lasts for about ten seconds.
Lotta
Our puppy is now bigger than Pumpkin. She gets along well with Pumpkin and is great on hikes. We are excited about introducing her to her "herd" in March.
Evenings at our house generally look like this:
Saturday, February 27, 2010

Happiness Is....Throwing Up a Banana?
I have a good excuse for not coming up with any amusing blog posts for the past month-I’ve been puking. I spend most of my waking hours worrying about when I'm going to vomit, dry heaving, or being thankful that I am not vomiting. It leaves little time for me to come up with something “cute” about chickens or snakes.
This morning I had a breakthrough. I ate a banana before my morning shower (knowing in advance I would be spewing shortly after getting out of the shower). This was my first banana morning. I had tried nuts, fruit bars, cereal and bread. Well, the banana came up like a dream-smooth and somewhat delicious. I actually smiled and said, "Not bad!" when it was over. Who knew that puking up a banana would be the highlight of my day?
I should start feeling better in three short weeks. Until then, please excuse my absence (or presence with a lack of creativity).
Sincerely, Jessica
PS-This is just my weird way of saying I'm pregnant.
